Astronomy is the oldest of the natural science, dating back to antiquity, with its origins in the religious, mythological, and astrological practices of pre-history: vestiges of these are still found in astrology, a discipline long interwoven with public and governmental astronomy, and not completely disentangled from it until a few centuries ago in the Western World (see astrology and astronomy). In some cultures astronomical data was used for astrological prognostication.
Ancient astronomers were able to differentiate between stars and planets, as stars remain relatively fixed over the centuries while planets will move an appreciable amount during a comparatively short time.

The history of Singapore dates to the 11th century. The island rose in importance during the 14th century under the rule of Srivijayan prince Parameswara and became a port until it was destroyed by Acehnese raiders in 1613. The modern history of Singapore began in 1819 when Englishman Sir Stamford Raffles established a British port on the island. Under British colonial rule, it grew in importance as a centre for both the India-China trade and the entrepot trade in Southeast Asia, rapidly becoming a major port city.
During World War II, Singapore was conquered and occupied by the Japanese empire from 1942 to 1945. When the war ended, Singapore reverted to British control, with increasing levels of self-government being granted, culminating in Singapore's merger with the Federation of Malaysia to form Malaysia in 1963. However, social unrest and disputes between Singapore's ruling People's Action Party and Malaysia's Alliance Party resulted in Singapore's separation from Malaysia. Singapore became an independent republic on 9 August 1965.
Facing severe unemployment and a housing crisis, Singapore embarked on a modernisation programme that focused on establishing a manufacturing industry, developing large public housing estates and investing heavily on public education. Since independence, Singapore's economy has grown by an average of nine percent each year. By the 1990s, the country had become one of the world's most prosperous nations, with a highly developed free market company, strong international trading links, and the highest per capita gross domestic product in Asia outside of Japan.

"If a woman-an absolute no-go as well, we train stranded on the ground, our national eagle-glued on earth. Learn to understand that a woman is a matter about which we are of paramount importance. Learn to judge her as an absolute element in our struggle."Sukarno said in a book he wrote in 1947 in Yogyakarta. At that time, the Dutch came back to make Indonesia as the Nederlandsch-Indie. Fellow leaders of the people arguing, thus threatening national unity. Bung Karno attempt to solve the weight problem, among others, by finding new strength as a reinforcing national unity. And the strength she finds in women.Perhaps, he was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi who said, "A lot of our movement foundered on the road because of the state of our women," or by Kemal Attaturk who said, "In the struggle between the questions that must be considered, with women almost always forgotten."Soekarno aware of the power of women. The extent of the women's movement had read literature proves it. Only, in Indonesia, women have not been aware of true strength. Indonesian women are alive in captivity with customary and religious justification. Most of the women we were not aware that he was the victim of colonial economic policy.Women's organizations already exist. But, until just before the Pacific War, the movement of Indonesian women still "playing princess" - Questioning busy domestic affairs. This happens because the women's movement is still elitist and linked to the issue "has never learn seriously by our movement".That's why, in Yogyakarta, Sukarno holding "ladies course". Two weeks, he gave material about women and the struggle of the Republic of Indonesia. When the course is completed, a lot of people requested that the book be used as course material. Sukarno, who is from the era of the movement wanted to write a book about it, immediately welcomed by developing course material into Sarinah. From that alone, is not an ordinary book Sarinah. Especially if about abortion. The early part of Indonesian women uncover problems and how to solve. Here is sufficient light in the eyes of women Soekarno. For him, "The issue of women is a matter of society and the state." To corroborate this, among others, he quoting words of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, "Women's pole country. Whenever both women, let the country. Whenever damaged woman, devastated the country."To realize the message of the hadeeth, he advocated for the study of history, including the history of the (female) Europe. But he also agreed with the opinion Dewantara Ki Hajar: "Let not hastily imitating the manner or mode of modern Europe, not be allowed djuga bound by a sense of conservative or narrow sense, but with destination all goods."Sukarno was open to modern and pre-modern cultures. He saw both of them have advantages and disadvantages. It was becoming more and less light on the second to fifth. Here, he described the history of women since the era of nomadic people to move women seize their rights by using modern devices, such as theory, organizations, mass media, mass movement, and parliament.Framework of the description was clear and powerful, data-rich, evocative language and speech excerpts distinctive and rich intelligent, important, and relevant are taken from scripture and prophetic traditions, literature, and books by scholars from different corners of the world. Here, Sukarno wrote that Indonesian women are way out way out anyway Indonesian male, seeking the completion of a socialist society. For that, they must move ejecting capitalisme compact, imperialism, and colonialism, the source of all the evil of the nation. This book is still relevant as a mirror for the women's movement today. This book not only reveals the struggle of a president thinking about women, nation, and state, but also offers a way to allow women, peoples, and nations grow together.
